Built as a film set for the production of the 1980 live-action musical feature film Popeye, Popeye Village developed into an amusement park and seaside resort, hosting a cornucopia of attractions for the family, including puppet shows, productions by animators, interactive performances, rides, museums, as well as playhouses where children can climb and explore the village.
Children meet the main characters from the show such as Popeye, Olive Oyl, Bluto and Wimpy and at the nearby picturesque anchor bay, they’ll get to navigate an inflatable obstacle course. This location also includes a splash pool, a play pool, water games, comic museum a mini-golf course, and a newly added scavenger hunt for kids to partake in. Adults can look forward to the Popeye’s village island-renowned restaurant and spending the day at Anchor’s bay, where sun beds, umbrellas and showers are provided.
